Good Week for freebies

Last Saturday we went to R C Willey to enter a drawing for a $2500.00 spending spree. But our name was not drawn. However we did win tickets to the BMX bike competition in Salt Lake this weekend. We each also got $25.00 off a purchase. Richard got a arm band to put his IPOD in when he runs. Rachael got some headphones to use in the car with the DVD player. I added my birthday money to my gift certificate and got a digital picture frame. It has been fun this week looking at all of our digital pictures and loading them onto a memory card and showing them on the picture frame.

But the freebies didn't stop there. On Wednesday we went to the Cougar Coaches show at Ken Garff Porsche. Rachael and Holly each got a BYU t-shirt. We also a backpack type bag and 3 coupons for a free milkshake from the ICEBERG. (YUM! YUM!) We will probably go by there on Saturday for our free milkshake.

But that wasn't all. On Friday night we went to the Cougar Pre-Game show at Macey's in Orem. We had hoped to win tickets to today's sold out BYU v Air Force game. but didn't win them. As we got into the car to head for home, they asked a trivia question. "What is the name of Amanda Dickson's book?" Richard suggested I run into the store and see if they have the book. So off I went. They had the book, "Wake up to a Happier Life". I hurried over to the KSL booth and gave them the name of the book. We won a $100.00 gift card to Maceys. Thanks KSL and Macey's for our groceries for the week.

What a great week!

Motorcycle Official

Richard is a USCF licensed Official. He really enjoys officiating from his motorcycle. This picture was taken at the LOTOJA Classic. The riders leave Logan, Utah at 6:30 am and ride to Teton Village at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The ride is 206 miles and this year a new course record was set at 9 hours 15 minutes. The two riders with Richard are both named Mark, one is 48 and the other 47 years old. They are great riders. This picture was taken at about 190 miles into the race. These guys sprinted for the win. The rider in orange won.

HYRUM

What a lucky family we are. We are able to see our "grandson" who was adopted by a wonderful family once a year. We met him and his family at the park in July and had a great time. Hyrum we love you!

New to Blogging

So I managed to do my first post. The words don't line up very well with the pictures. But hopefully I'll get better. Rachael and I did the first one together and surprised Richard with it. We will try to update this regularly and get better each time.

Rachael took this picture of the double rainbow on Cedar City in August.

A Day at the Fair

We picked up Austin and Sean and headed to the Utah State Fair. It was "Buy-one-get-one-free" for the carnival rides. Richard, Rachael, Austin, and Sean all got wrist bands for the rides and rode as many as they wanted. Holly got ill just watching them go round and round.

We meet the Lam "Fam" for "All-you-can-eat-Ice-Cream". So if we weren't sick from all of the rides we were by the time we had 10 scoops of ice cream.

Rachael was really paying attention and saw Hyrum and his family on the pony rides. It was good to see them (Holly forgot to take a picture of them).
