The Grandkids are moving.

Austin and Sean are moving to Virginia. It was a sad night for all of us as we said Good -Bye. I guess we will now be doing our part to keep the U S Postal Service in business as we will be writing more letters, we will also be doing more emails and phone calls to Virginia.

With Great Grandma and Grandpa Anderson.

Austin and Sean will miss Bryton, who lives next door to us.

Hopefully we will see you again soon. We LOVE YOU! Austin and Sean!!!!!

Birthday dinner

It happened again. I had another birthday, they just seem to come sooner every year. We ate out with my parents, and Steven and his boys. Richard (who would kill me if I did this) told the waitress it was my birthday so I had to sit on the saddle while they wished me Happy Birthday.

I got lots of new shirts and some jeans for my birthday. Richard even baked me a chocolate cake. It was a GREAT day!

Austin turns 9.

Happy Birthday to Austin! He turned 9 and had a party at Boondocks. We played laser tag, rode the bumper boats, raced on the slick tracks, played miniature golf, watched 4D movies, and played the arcade games. A great time was had by all.

Looks to me like we all had a GREAT time.

I hope you had a GREAT time, Austin!

Tour of Utah

Richard and I had a fabulous week being a part of the Tour of Utah Officiating Crew. Working with Dot, Dan, Jeff, Cindy, Marilyn, Harry, Missy, James, Jim, Splinter, Doug, and Roberta made for a wonderful experience. Richard and I both got to learn new things and are better officials because of our experience. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

Thanks to Terry McGinnis and the rest of the Tour of Utah staff for putting together such a successful event.

Congratulations to Francisco Mancebo of Rock Racing the overall winner.

Richard hikes Mt. Timpanogos

Richard left home early this morning and by 7:00 am was on his way up the trail to the top of Mt. Timpanogos. The moon was still out when he started.

Look what he found along the way

Dogs carrying backpacks

Moose

Mountain Goats.

A Beautiful view of the valley below

A cyclist getting in some cross training.

A happy hiker at the top of the mountain.

Richard had a great hike, enjoying the sights along the way. (hopefully he won't have sore legs in the morning)

The Quilt Show in Springville

Grandma and Grandpa came down on Saturday and picked up Rachael and I for a trip to Springville to go to the Quilt Show at the Springville Art Museum.

Here a few of the quilts that we liked

We there went into the statues garden and Rachael had a great time.

This one is my favorite

We met Richard at Chadders for lunch, then back to our house to help Mom download the pictures off of her camera. While Mom and I worked this is what Dad did:

Rachael enjoyed playing with Misty Mae, their new dog.

With a new dog in the family, it was time for a new family picture.

Landis vs Williams

As a way to get some excitement for the Tour of Utah bike race to be held her in just over a week, a contest was held between Floyd Landis (cyclist) and Deron Williams (basketball player). They first did a Time Trial around the race track at Miller Motorsport Park in Tooele. The race track will be the site of one of the stages of the Tour of Utah.

Deron Williams and Floyd Landis go for a ride around the Time Trial Course.

Rachael, Sean, and Austin came to watch

The two take a lap around the course.

Cindy gives the "Official" count down, while her husband, Jim holds Deron.

Deron's Time was 5 minutes 55 seconds and Floyd's 4 minutes 55 seconds.

Then they changed into their baskbetball clothes and headed to the basketball court for a shooting contest

Floyd made a couple of shots, and Deron made some shots.

It was a fun time.

Happy Birthday Sean!

Today Sean turned 7. He spent most of the day at Cow-a-Bunga Water Park, with his Dad, Austin, Rachael, his friend Bryton and Grandma and Grandpa.

After the waterpark they came back home to open presents

Then it was time for cake and ice cream.

Sean had a GREAT day! How fun to be 7!
