Lehi Pioneer Days Parade

Rachael and the famous American Fork High School Color Guard and Marching Band were in the Lehi Pioneer Days Parade.

They warmed up

Then they practiced twirling their flags.

Next you are warmed up and ready to go, but still have at least 20 minutes before it is your turn to start the parade, so you be silly.

Now you march

The Color Guard did a great job and the band sounds good too.

(I am being frustrated, I can't get the video to load)

Beauty and the Beast

Our next door neighbor, Fran, invited Rachael and I to see Beauty and the Beast. It was being performed at the Murray Park Ampitheater. Rachael and I grabbed our jackets and some blankets and drove to Murray. We found the park and picked our seats. We had a good group with us, Fran, Brenda, Stella, Brandon, Pam, Desi, Arianne, Kathy, Tommy, and Kayla, plus Rachael and I. We took the ends of two rows. The play was very well performed and Rachael and I really enjoyed ourselves.

Thanks for thinking of us.

A very tired little boy.

You know that someone is pretty tired when you find them asleep like this.

So you move them to here and they still stay asleep.

One Spoiled Father!! Happy Father's Day!

When I asked Richard what he wanted for Father's Day, his answer was to take the grandsons to the Carnival at Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Days. Since I knew we would have to do that on Saturday and he would still need something to "open' on Father's Day. Rachael and I headed out to do some shopping.

When Richard got off of work, we loaded Rachael, Austin, Sean, and the two boys from next door, Bryton and Brandon into the van and we left the house . . . in a rain storm. Knowing that the carnival wouldn't be going in the rain, we went to Carl's Jr for lunch. Everyone got to eat what they wanted, and the kids played chase in the playplace. As soon as the rain stopped we hurried over to Pleasant Grove. The kids, young and old, had a good time.

The whole gang waits for the next ride.

A couple of boys were pretty sad that they couldn't do more carnival rides.

But they all had a good time at the playground.

The rain came again and we hurried to the car, and ended the day with Ice Cream

But that wasn't the end of the Father's Day festivities. Sunday morning, we took Steven, Austin, Sean, Richard, Rachael, and myself to IHOP for breakfast.

Richard made a yummy home made lasagna for lunch.

To finish out the day - this is what Richard did

Father's Day doesn't get any better than this.

I LOVE YOU RICHARD! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Rachael's best Birthday Present Ever

We have GREAT friends, who fly Hot Air Balloons. For Rachael's 14th birthday they took her for a ride. We met at the American Fork High School.

First you get the basket ready

Next you blow up the balloon.

Then you prepare for LIFT OFF

Then you enjoy the view

Then you share the view with others.

And all to soon it is time to find a place to land

Last you have to pack the balloon back up

The smile on your child's face after her best birthday present ever:

PRICELESS!!!!

Thank you so very much for the best present ever, Ray, Kevin and Shauna!

Last Day of School

It is official. Rachael has completed the 8th grade and has officially become a High School student. She will still be attending the Junior High School as a 9th grader, but the classes count now. Rachael and her friends walked home from school on the last day (that was a first, she has never walked home from school). They ended up at McKaylee and Shaylee's, their Mom took the girls to Subway to get lunch, then up to Tibble Fork for a picnic.

They had a great time just being teenagers as you can see from the pictures. (Thanks, Becky for sharing the pictures)

We are so glad that Rachael has such
