Boise Twilight Crit

I have officiated at the Boise Twilight Crit as Chief Judge for the last three years. The first two years Richard was able to go with me, but this year I got to take Rachael. We left early Saturday morning and got to Boise in time for the Farmers Market. We had a good time wandering around, eating raspberries, sharing a pocket bread sandwich, and enjoying the crafts.

The race starts with some kids races led by Kristin Armstrong. Kristen lives in Boise and has announced her retirement from cycling. This would be her last race in her home town.
Kristen won her own race later in the evening.

It was a fun evening for us, watching our friend Mike Booth win the Cat 2 crit.

It was a really hot night. Rachael walked back to our hotel in between every race to fill our water bottle back up with ice. She would be back in time to run the lap cards and ring the bell for the final lap. It was great to have her there and to spend the time with her.

Yum, raspberries! Sounds like you two had some fun. It is really hot here. At 6 this evening it was still 100 degrees out. Not much fun.
