This building is the first one after THE CORNER, if you watched the Rose Parade on TV, you would have seen this building many times. We sat just across the street from it.

This is one we saw being decorated at the Float Preview
J R Martinez, the Grand Marshall. I hope he still had the same enthusiam at the end that he had at the beginning of the parade.
We saw this one being worked on at the Float Preview
Rose Parade Chairman Rick Jackson and his wife Sharon. They came to our High School in May to announce our invitation to the Rose Parade.

It is hard to see but this one had a swimming pool in it, and they created a wave and a dog rode a surfboard in the pool.
We are sitting only a few blocks into the parade, and already a float has broken down and needs to be towed.
If Pigs Could Fly . . .
The Rose Parade Committee made an exception to the LIVE things only on the floats, on this float honoriing Roy Rogers. They are using Roy Roger's horse, Trigger and dog, Bullett.
This year would have been Roy Rogers 100th birthday.
And with a wave from this float, the parade was over.

WOW! All of those floats look so pretty! I loved the message in the sky. I bet it is a different experince to be there LIVE!
BTW, you were VERY sweet and cute with Lexie today in Primary. You both did a great job. Do you think she likes the attention...and the microphone? Thank you for being such a great teacher to her!
