Rose Parade Practice

Rachael and the American Fork High School Color Guard and Marching Band are doing lots of practicing as they get ready to march in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2, 2012.  They have had practices 2 afternoons a week for the last couple of months.  It is hard to believe that the parade is just a few weeks away.  It has been a long year of early morning practices, all day camps, after school practices, and Thursday evening practices.  As the kids have worked on their Field Show, and now getting ready for that over 5 mile parade.

Daddy came out to watch Rachael march up the street.

The theme for the Rose Parade is
IMAGINE . . .
I think it is way cute that they took the theme and put drumsticks in the little boys hands.

They even drew the famous Rose Parade corner onto the Band Practice Field so that they could practice turning the corner.  It is on that corner that many of the TV stations have a camera and do lots of filming, so they want to make sure they will look good turning the corner.

We are getting excited!!!!
